FOR TODAY ... Monday 30th April

Outside my window ... It's night time & Peppi is sleeping just outside the door.

I am thinking ... I can't believe how long it's been since I written up a post here.

I am thankful ... for God's goodness.

In the kitchen ... late night cooking - a big batch of meatballs in pasta sauce.

I am wearing ... black skirt, black singlet top with tan cardigan.

I am creating ... small gift bags of potpourri.

I am going ... to bed soon.

I am wondering ... if we're going to have a mild winter 'cos I really don't like the cold.

I am reading ... Flying Doctor Stories by Bill 'Swampy' Marsh.

I am hoping ... to create some fancy pens to take to my work colleagues.

I am looking forward to ... my day off tomorrow.

Around the house ... The heater is on; listening to (morning) mass on EWTN.

I am pondering ... some new ideas for my creative work.

A favorite quote for today ... Always remember...You teach people how to treat you.

One of my favorite things ... cuddling our little pooch - Peppi.

A few plans for the rest of the week: back at work Wednesday; do some prep work for The Handmade Show; painting.

A peek into my day...

Apr 272010

FOR TODAY… Tuesday 27th April.

Outside my window…… Grey sky, light steady rain - our warm days seem to be at an end as we settle for a week of rain & cooler days..... our neighbour has kindly offered to help us prume a few trees & he's out there now in the rain ... bless him.

I am thinking……. It's the same cycle each year, each season. I can't complain about our autumn because it's been a warm one ... it's the countdaown through winter to spring now .... sigh.

I am praying for…… My son who is now at Uni; our homeschooling friends; healing for my ailments.

I am thankful for…… My very supportive family; my beautiful son; the chance to learn a new job.

From the learning rooms…… Praise the Lord in all circumstances, even if you don’t feel like it. (this is a repeat from the last daybook I wrote but it's ongoing and it works)

From the kitchen…… Toasted cheese sandwich for lunch (it's only me at home today) and lovely hot cup of coffee.... the last daybook I wrote mentioned iced coffees, lol.

I am wearing…… black skirt; long sleeved beige/tan  fine knitted top & comfy slippers.

I am creating…… a new range of pin cushion designs.

I am going…… possibly nowhere today but if I'm up to it later I'll visit an op shop.

I am hoping…… I get lots done today.

I am hearing…… the humming of the fridge; the light rain falling; the click of the cutter as our neighbour prunes the Bay Leaf tree.

Around the house…… carpet will get vacummed today; the never ending ironing tower needs to be tackled.

One of my favourite things…… enjoying a well made hot cappuccino & chocolate dessert at a favourite cafe, in the company of a good friend.

A few plans for the rest of the week:…. Finish off some paperwork; attend class on Wed; physio appointment; do a bit more cleaning/tidying around the house; plan a few blog posts.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing…

... my birthday coffee - cafe by the sea.

FOR TODAY… Monday 9th Nov.

Outside my window…… Bright blue sky, gorgeous sun shining down on us..... summer has started early for Melbourne.

I am thinking……. Although summer is my favourite season, will I survive the heat wave this week?

I am praying for…… lots of things - guidance for son as he searches to purchase his first car; homeschooling families; healing for my ailments.

I am thankful for…… My Lord - knowing that He is always near and He will answer my prayers in His time.

From the learning rooms…… Praise the Lord in all circumstances, even if you don’t feel like it. (this is a repeat from the last daybook I wrote but it's ongoing and it works)

From the kitchen…… too hot to be cooking anything - there's nothing happening at the moment but there will be salads & iced coffees coming out of there during the day.

I am wearing…… black & white skirt with a swirly pattern; black singlet top & pretty pink floral thongs.

I am creating…… invitations to my first clearance sale.

I am going…… to a doctor's appointment.

I am hoping…… that all my aches will go away & that Noting new will pop up; that I can exercise self control & begin a healthy eating plan so as to lose weight ... and do lots of walking - the easiest & no-cost form of exercising 🙂

I am hearing…… the house creaking a little, lol. It's funny because at this moment all is quiet - I can't even hear traffic in the distance - maybe everyone is in hiding from the the heat?.

Around the house…… floor needs sweeping & mopping; bathroom needs a good clean.

One of my favourite things……  sipping a cool drink on a hot day while my feet dangle in cool water while sitting a shady tree 🙂

A few plans for the rest of the week:…. Catch up on cleaning around the house - it's a slow process at the moment but with the Lord's help I'll get there; begin setting up for my clearance sale which begins in 2 weeks; swine flu vaccination.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing…

FOR TODAY...

*

Outside my window...

... the winter sun is out - it's a gorgeous day. It's still a little windy but at least the gales have long stopped.

I am thinking...

... about how we're mid way through August - Christmas will be upon us at the blink of an eye.

I am thankful for...

... the gift of a brand new day.

From the learning rooms...

... you need to take time out and not be on the go 24/7

From the kitchen...

... there is caramel mud cake in the fridge that I'm trying to forget about - doesn't look like it's working though, lol.

I am wearing...

... black track pants & burgundy long sleeve top.

I am creating...
... a new log book to plan my online activities..... Sounds serious doesn't it - wonder if I'll stick to it?

I am praying for...
... our priests.

I am going...

... nowhere

  I am hoping...

... we can afford to take a holiday by the beach this summer.

I am hearing...

... nothing - I'm 'home alone' today and that cake in the fridge is beckoning...

Around the house...

One of my favourite things...

... a good laugh with friends.
A few plans for the rest of the week:

`Here is a picture thought I am sharing

… This plant is in our front garden. I don't know what it's called but it's turned into a giant. These photos were taken in May of this year when I first noticed this 'trunk' thingy growing from the centre. I've been taking progressive photos of this plant becaue the centre keeps on growing taller and taller.  We haven't a clue if the centre thing is going to flower or not but we're all waiting to see what happens next.

If anyone know what this plant is called and what the centre thing does please let me know.
